Gnomad Try it now

This site collects nothing.

Not your name, not your email, not which pages you read. There is nothing here to fill in and nothing that follows you around.

What that means

  • No cookies.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels.
  • No forms, no sign-up and no email list.
  • No third-party scripts and no outside fonts. Every file comes from gnomad.cc itself. The site runs one small script of its own, /site.js, which makes the drawn synth playable (the sound is made in your browser, and only after you tap a key), tilts it, and moves things in as you scroll. The map has a few lines of its own that measure its two sheets. Neither collects anything or makes any request to anyone. The home page also carries a small block of facts for search engines (what Gnomad is, its licence, its FAQ); it is data, not a program.
  • Nothing about children, or anyone else.

Who hosts it

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, to deliver the page and keep it safe from attacks. We have not turned on any analytics. At most, Cloudflare's dashboard shows us totals, like how many requests the site served in a day, and nothing in those totals says who you are.

Links to GitHub

The firmware, its source and the place to tell Kyle you want the app are on GitHub. Those links take you to github.com, which runs on its own terms and its own privacy policy. Nothing from GitHub loads on this site.

The app

Gnomad Synth, the app, is being built the same way: no account, no analytics, no ads. Its own privacy notice will be posted here before it launches.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page changes first, with a new date.
